1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Life Quests mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Life Quests Team ("we", "us", "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
If you are between 13 and 17, your parent or legal guardian must consent to these Terms on your behalf.
If you are a parent or guardian registering a child, you represent that the child is at least 13 years old.
In jurisdictions where the minimum age for digital services is higher (e.g., 16 in some EU member states), the higher age applies, and verifiable parental consent is required for users below that age.

3. Description of Service

Life Quests is an educational life skills simulator. Users experience interactive narrative episodes covering topics such as online safety, financial decisions, relationships, and personal identity. Users make choices within these episodes and experience simulated consequences.

The simulated scenarios are fictional and intended to develop critical thinking skills. Life Quests does not guarantee prevention of online threats, improved safety outcomes, or any specific educational results. Parental guidance is recommended.

4. Accounts and Registration

You may use limited features without creating an account.
To access the full Service, you must create an account with a display name, age range, and avatar selection.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

Free tier: first 3 episodes, no account required.
Monthly: $9.99/month, billed monthly through Apple App Store.
Annual: $79.99/year, billed annually through Apple App Store.

5.2 Free Trial

New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the plan price.

5.3 Billing

All payments are processed through Apple App Store. We do not collect or store payment card information.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.

5.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then.
Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for annual plans — contact [email protected] within 30 days of purchase.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content in the Service — including but not limited to episode narratives, character designs, illustrations, audio, software code, user interface design, logos, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to Life Quests Team and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and international treaties.

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes only. This license does not include the right to:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any content from the Service
Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Use any data mining, robots, scraping, or similar data gathering tools on the Service
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Use the Service to develop a competing product or service
Sublicense, sell, rent, or lease access to the Service

6.3 AI-Generated Content

Some content within the Service — including episode narratives, character images, illustrations, and voice acting — is created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools and curated by human editors. All such content is owned by Life Quests Team to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

All character images, avatars, and illustrations in the Service are entirely AI-generated and fictional. They do not depict any real person, living or deceased. Any resemblance to actual individuals is purely coincidental and unintentional. No real person's likeness, name, or identity was used as input or reference for generating these images.

6.4 DMCA and Copyright Complaints

If you believe any content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice to our designated DMCA agent at [email protected] with:

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
Identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service
Your contact information
A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
Your physical or electronic signature

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Impersonate any person or entity
Use the Service in any way that could harm minors
Share account credentials with others

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
We do not warrant that the educational content will achieve any specific learning outcome.
The simulated scenarios in Life Quests are fictional. Any resemblance to real events, persons, or organizations is coincidental.
Life Quests is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or expert advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LIFE QUESTS TEAM, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
Any content obtained from the Service
Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Life Quests Team and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes amicably. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

For EU consumers: you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/odr.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.
Upon termination, your license to use the Service immediately ceases.
Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app and/or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.

14. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Life Quests Team regarding the Service.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours with notice to you.
