Life Quests is operated by Life Quests Team ("we", "us", "our"). Life Quests is an educational life skills simulator for teens aged 13-17. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Life Quests mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

3. How We Use Information

- Send push notifications (streak reminders, new episode alerts) — can be disabled in device settings
- Process subscription payments through Apple App Store (we never see or store payment card details)
4. What We Never Do
- Sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties
- Use data for targeted advertising
- Profile users for commercial purposes
- Share individual in-game choices with parents, schools, or any third party
- Use nudge techniques designed to exploit minors
- Retain data longer than necessary for the stated purpose
5. Parent Progress Reports
If a parent opts in, they receive a weekly email containing:
- Number of episodes completed
- Skills demonstrated (e.g., "Recognizes phishing URLs")
- Reputation trend (improving/stable/declining) — not raw scores
- Conversation starters based on episode topics
Parent reports never include which specific choices the player made in any episode. This is a core design principle of Life Quests: the player's decisions are private.

We do not use any analytics SDKs that track user behavior across apps. We do not integrate with advertising networks.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Active account: data retained while subscription is active or account exists
- Inactive account: data deleted after 12 months of inactivity
- Deletion request: all personal data deleted within 30 days of request
- Technical logs: automatically purged after 90 days

8. Data Security

9. Children's Privacy
Life Quests is designed for users aged 13-17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact [email protected] and we will delete the data promptly.
For users in the European Union, we comply with GDPR Article 8 requirements for processing data of minors. Where required by local law, verifiable parental consent is obtained before processing.

UK Users
We comply with the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code). High privacy settings are applied by default. We do not use design techniques that exploit children's vulnerabilities.
11. AI-Generated Content
Some content in Life Quests, including episode narratives, illustrations, character images, and voice acting, is created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools. All AI-generated content is reviewed and curated by human editors before publication. No personal user data is used to train AI models.
All character images, avatars, and illustrations are entirely AI-generated and fictional. They do not depict any real person, living or deceased. Any resemblance to actual individuals is purely coincidental and unintentional. No real person's likeness, name, or identity was used as input or reference for generating these images.
12. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in the European Union. If you access the Service from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app and/or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
